DESCRIPTION: WW - Hamilton Spur, circa 1928, 29mm x 43mm to hinged lug tips, 16mm male lug width, original 14K yellow gold asymmetrical snap back case with enameled Roman numeral bezel, black leather strap with Hamilton signed buckle, cleaned silvered dial with black enamel painted details, 19J grade 979, s#2902902, triple signed. Gross weight of assembled watch without strap 16.1 dwt (24.9 g). Includes period presentation box. An exceptionally rare Hamilton, factory records show that of the 1,138 total Hamilton Spurs that were made there were 683 made in white gold, only 499 made in yellow gold, and a single individual example was made in green gold. This is the first time our firm has had a Spur for sale since 2005, don't miss out.
CONDITION: Mvt: Running, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, light oxide to steelwork, light fine scratches to plates; dial with signs of cleaning including sanding, several spots and marks most notably along perimeter; excellent blued steel hands; polished case shows little wear, excellent enamel bezel with several small nicks and chips but no major cracks or repairs, several light dings to case sides and back; crown shows little wear; good glass crystal. Box shows light wear.
